Sherry's Take
Stay on the eastern beach strip (Germasogeia) for sand and resorts, or the Old Town / Marina for restaurants and walkable nightlife. Skip "Limassol town centre" — it's 15 min inland and unremarkable.

Money-Saving Tips
- 1Meze (Cypriot small-plate feast) at a village taverna is €18–25 a head — twice that on the promenade.
- 2The Cyprus Public Transport day pass is €5 — covers Limassol urban buses end-to-end.
- 3Skip car hire if you stay in Germasogeia — buses 30 / 17 run the full strip every 15 min.
Getting Around
- 1Larnaca airport → Limassol: Kapnos shuttle bus runs hourly, 45 min, €10. Paphos airport is similar distance west.
- 2Within Limassol, public buses go everywhere along the coast for €1.50 a single, day-pass €5.
- 3Taxis are metered but expensive — Bolt is widely used and 30% cheaper, install it before you arrive.
Most Common Mistake
Booking a "Limassol" hotel that turns out to be in the inland town centre with no beach — always check the Germasogeia / coastal pin on the map.
