Money-Saving Tips
- 1Old Town tavernas just one street back from the Hippocrates Square are 40% cheaper than the square itself.
- 2A rental car for 2 days (€40 total) is cheaper than 4 taxi rides Rhodes Town ↔ Lindos.
- 3Beach loungers free on most public beaches if you buy a drink (€5) at the kiosk.
Getting Around
- 1Rhodes airport (RHO) → Old Town: KTEL bus €2.40, 25 min, every 30 min. Taxi €25 fixed.
- 2KTEL buses (Rhodes Town ↔ Lindos) run hourly in season, €6, 1h 15m.
- 3Within Rhodes Town, walking is faster than driving — the Old Town is car-free anyway.
Most Common Mistake
Booking in Faliraki thinking it's near the Old Town — it's 30 min by bus and you'll feel disconnected from the medieval part.
