Crypto Payment Policy – SherryStay

Effective Date: October 2026 · Operated by 1000-2000 by me Ltd.

This Crypto Payment Policy explains how cryptocurrency payments are handled when booking eligible accommodation through SherryStay.

This Policy forms part of SherryStay’s Terms and Conditions and should be read together with the cancellation and refund conditions applicable to the specific hotel rate selected by the customer.

1. Cryptocurrency Payments

SherryStay may offer cryptocurrency as a payment option for eligible hotel bookings.

Cryptocurrency payments are processed through Confirmo, SherryStay’s third-party cryptocurrency payment service provider.

The cryptocurrencies and blockchain networks available for a particular transaction will be displayed to the customer during the payment process. Availability may vary and may change from time to time.

Customers must follow the payment instructions displayed during checkout.

2. Booking Price and Cryptocurrency Conversion

The price of the hotel reservation is displayed by SherryStay in the applicable fiat currency, which may include USD or another currency supported by SherryStay.

When cryptocurrency payment is selected, the payment provider calculates the amount of cryptocurrency required to complete the transaction.

Because cryptocurrency exchange rates may change, the quoted cryptocurrency amount may be valid only for a limited period.

If the payment window expires, the customer may be required to obtain a new payment quote.

3. Payment Does Not Automatically Confirm the Hotel

Sending cryptocurrency does not, by itself, create or confirm a hotel reservation.

The payment must first be successfully received and verified.

After successful payment verification, SherryStay will attempt to complete the reservation with the applicable hotel supplier.

A hotel reservation is considered confirmed only when SherryStay issues the customer a final booking confirmation.

Customers should not consider a blockchain transaction, wallet confirmation, payment-provider screen, transaction hash or payment receipt to be confirmation of the hotel reservation.

4. Hotel Availability and Price Changes

Hotel prices and availability are dynamic and may change during the payment process.

SherryStay may recheck the selected rate and availability before initiating the cryptocurrency payment process.

However, in exceptional circumstances, a hotel rate or room may become unavailable after the cryptocurrency payment has been successfully received but before the supplier completes the reservation.

If SherryStay receives a successful payment but is unable to complete the hotel reservation, SherryStay will not treat the failed reservation as a completed non-refundable booking.

SherryStay will review the transaction and arrange the appropriate resolution, which may include a refund or other agreed solution, subject to the payment provider’s procedures, applicable blockchain/network conditions and applicable law.

5. Non-Refundable Hotel Rates

At initial launch, cryptocurrency payments may be available only for selected non-refundable hotel rates.

A non-refundable rate means that once the hotel reservation has been successfully confirmed, the customer’s ability to cancel, modify or obtain a refund is governed by the cancellation conditions displayed for that specific rate before purchase.

A non-refundable cancellation condition does not permit SherryStay to retain payment where SherryStay or its supplier was unable to complete and confirm the hotel reservation.

Customers should carefully review the cancellation conditions before making payment.

6. Payment Status and Confirmation

Cryptocurrency transactions may require blockchain confirmations and payment-provider verification before they are considered successfully completed.

A transaction visible on a blockchain is not necessarily sufficient for SherryStay to treat the payment as final.

SherryStay relies on the final payment status provided and verified through its payment-processing systems before proceeding with the hotel booking.

Some transactions may require additional review or verification.

7. Incorrect Cryptocurrency, Network or Payment Amount

Customers are responsible for carefully following the payment instructions provided during checkout.

Before sending cryptocurrency, customers should verify:

  • the cryptocurrency selected;
  • the blockchain network;
  • the payment destination;
  • the amount requested; and
  • the applicable payment deadline.

Sending cryptocurrency using an unsupported or incorrect blockchain network, sending a different cryptocurrency from the one requested, sending funds to an incorrect destination, or sending an incorrect amount may delay or prevent automatic processing of the payment.

Customers who believe they have made an incorrect payment should contact SherryStay customer support as soon as possible and provide the relevant transaction details.

Recovery cannot be guaranteed where funds have been sent incorrectly or through an unsupported network.

8. Underpayments and Overpayments

The customer should send the exact amount requested during the payment process.

If the amount received differs from the amount requested, the transaction may require additional processing or manual review.

Any treatment of an underpayment or overpayment will be subject to the payment provider’s applicable procedures and the circumstances of the transaction.

9. Blockchain Transactions

Cryptocurrency transactions are generally irreversible once transmitted and confirmed on the applicable blockchain.

Customers should therefore carefully verify all payment information before authorizing a transaction from their wallet.

The technical irreversibility of a blockchain transaction is separate from SherryStay’s responsibility to resolve a case in which SherryStay successfully receives payment but the corresponding hotel reservation cannot be completed.

10. Compliance and Verification

Cryptocurrency payments may be subject to regulatory and compliance controls, including, where applicable:

  • anti-money laundering controls;
  • sanctions screening;
  • fraud prevention;
  • transaction monitoring;
  • Travel Rule requirements; and
  • identity or source-of-funds verification.

SherryStay and/or its payment service provider may request additional information where required for regulatory, security or compliance purposes.

A payment or booking may be delayed, reviewed, rejected or otherwise restricted where required by applicable law, regulatory obligations or payment-provider compliance requirements.

11. Refunds

Where a cryptocurrency refund is applicable, the refund process may differ from traditional card refunds.

The method, currency, network, destination, amount and timing of a refund may depend on the circumstances of the transaction, the payment provider’s procedures, applicable network conditions and applicable law.

Unless expressly required by applicable law or agreed otherwise, SherryStay does not guarantee that a cryptocurrency refund will reproduce the same cryptocurrency-to-fiat exchange value that existed at the time of the original payment.

Any network or blockchain-related costs applicable to a refund will be handled in accordance with the applicable payment-provider procedure and applicable law.

12. Third-Party Payment Processing

Confirmo provides cryptocurrency payment-processing services used by SherryStay.

Use of the cryptocurrency payment option may therefore also be subject to applicable terms, compliance requirements and technical procedures of the payment provider.

SherryStay remains responsible for its own obligations relating to the hotel-booking service provided through SherryStay.

13. Security

SherryStay will never ask a customer to disclose a wallet private key or seed phrase.

Customers should never provide their private key, recovery phrase or wallet password to SherryStay, Confirmo, a hotel, or any person claiming that such information is required to complete a booking.

14. Customer Support

Customers experiencing a cryptocurrency payment issue should contact SherryStay and provide, where available:

  • SherryStay booking or payment reference;
  • transaction hash;
  • cryptocurrency and blockchain network used;
  • amount sent; and
  • date and approximate time of payment.

Customers should never send private keys or wallet seed phrases to customer support.

15. Changes to This Policy

SherryStay may update this Crypto Payment Policy to reflect changes in payment methods, technology, regulatory requirements, payment-provider procedures or SherryStay’s services.

The version applicable to a transaction will be the version in effect at the relevant time, subject to applicable law.
